Ooops! It's the first day of school. Our professor introduced herself to class and used pair share to introduce ourselves. With enthusiasm our instructor discussed on the definition, function, uses, and importance of statistics, I realized that statistics is the application in our daily undertakings. For example, how an individual behaves, the intelligence level, and even dealing with the household chores. Statistics is a part of our lives since we exist until to the last minute of our lives.A great contribution to our endeavors. That's Statistics.
Module 2 :Variables: Subject Matter of Statistics and Research
Variables is not only the x and y in Mathematics.It is any observation or characteristics which assumes different values. Just like any activities in life variables is always present. Whoever you are be humble, be yourself , act on the norm of the society and treasure what God gave to us. The variables of our life.
Module 3 Integration of Innovation in Statistics
The most challenging in this subject is when Ma'am Ava introduce how to make our blog. It's amazing to our part. We students explore with the technology.
When our professor was discussed about blog, e-portfolio, innovations in higher education, and how these innovations are practiced globally, I was amazed of her expertise on this subject. I am really eager to learn this topic so much. I attentively listened to her discussion even its new for me. It's the first time for this experience to explore in making the blog. You inspired me a lot in my studies to be globally competitive educator. As a result of this, I introduced to my pupils on how to make a blog an application of my learning in this subject. Thanks a lot Ma'am Ava. Stay humble. God bless.
Module 4: Measure of Central Location We students of Prof. Ava are lucky to have her. After discussion on this topic, manipulation on Microsoft Excel helps a lot to me in solving problems on measures of central tendency. She taught us to be literate in using the modern technology around us. It is significant for us teachers to be more effective and efficient educators nowadays. Not all the teachers are literate in using computers... Oh, it's my opinion. (Walang tututol.). Ma'am Ava is an expert on ICT.
Module 5: Measures of VariationI like most this module. More on computation and manipulation of numbers. Each individual is unique. I like numbers but some of my classmates manifest little love on computations. We are best on our own field of specialization. Practice makes perfect.
Module 6: Measures of Correlation
Our professor explained on relationship and differences of one variable with another variable Interpretations of the values was given. Extent of relationship that exist between the two variables is interpreted. As for my own opinion an individual is related even not by consanguinity or affinity but in other aspect. Guys, have fun, explore, develop camaraderie among others. Why not start in this class. A challenge for all of us. Treasure everyone we meet and mingle with.
Module 7 The Normal Probability Distribution
In this module, I learned the characteristics of the normal curve. Median in our life is God, the center of the center of everything.In statistics it is at the center. I learned on normal and skewed distribution. as an application to life sometimes normal to problems arises but sometimes it's skewed were challenges, obstacles, problems are within us. Life is meaningful have a normal and perfect distribution and share among others.
In preparation for the conduct of our research this topic is useful for us to have relevant sampling and correct result. Sample in the study helps a lot for the success of research. Everything on this topic was discussed well. How to comment error in the study was emphasis which is inevitable but it can be eradicated. Biases on selecting samples and interpretation should be considered so that study will be a success one.Mistakes are imperfect but nobody is perfect in this world.
Different test was discussed to have correct instrument to test on the study. Ma'am Ava encourages us to be more expert on dealing with the test for our study. Uses and application on these test were delivered by our professor. We are challenge to be a good Statisticians someday by our professor. Use of Microsoft Excel made the computation easier. Interpretation these tests were given emphasis on this topic.
Module 10 Analysis of Variance
Day to explore in Statistics is so fast to past by. We follow the correct format to interpret the data which had been discussed on Parameter Book of Prof. Ava. To attain our objectives of the day we uses our laptop to compute variance for easier way. Conclusions are drawn after variance was correctly interpreted.
The last topic which needs to take up. Ma'am Ava explained on how to use linear regression, on what kind of data. Numerical figures are discussed and the usefulness on the result of the study. The day was over.
Final exam coverage was announced and the activities for our last session. Thanks God. All topics were discussed thoroughly with expert use of innovations on education with our witty and dedication professor we had.
